How The Economic Machine Works

Dear reader, Ray Dalio is one of the most successful investors in history. He founded Bridgewater Associates, the largest hedge fund in the world, which has generated more profits for its investors than any other fund ever has.

So you would think that when he speaks about financial markets, people would listen. In 2008, he published a pdf, for free on the internet, about How the Economic Machine Works. Surprisingly, few people read it. So Ray put out a 30-minute YouTube video instead. Still, few people I met have watched it. They would seemingly rather spend their time listening to the talking heads on CNBC, than to one of the greatest investors who has ever lived.
